Worker electrocuted in Springfield, Durban

On Tuesday afternoon at 13h46 Netcare 911 paramedics received a call for an electrocution at a business in Intersite Ave Springfield, Durban. Reports from the scene is that the man was commissioning an air-condition system when he accidently came into contact with the live wires.

Paramedics and the Netcare 911 rescue unit arrived at the scene and found the man lying down on the roof of industrial premises with serious electrical burns. Medics stabilised the man on the roof and then placed him in a rescue harness before lowering him down the side of the building.

The seriously injured man was transported to a specialised hospital in Durban under the constant care of an advanced life support paramedic for further medical intervention.
