A man (30s) and woman (60s) were left seriously injured this morning after a collision on the N12, roughly 12 km outside of Potchefstroom.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 10h20 after receiving reports that two vehicles had collided head-on.
A bakkie and light motor vehicle lay on the side of the road, both of the vehicles heavily damaged.
On assessment, paramedics found a man seated next to his bakkie while a woman sat in her light motor vehicle. Both patients were found to have sustained serious injuries.
Paramedics treated and stabilised both patients before they were transported to Mediclinic Potchefstroom for further treatment.
The details of the collision are subject to the investigation of local authorities.
