Two men, both in their 50s, were injured this afternoon after their light motor vehicles collided head-on on Rivonia Road in Rivona, Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on scene shortly after 16h15, finding the road blocked by the two wrecked vehicles.
On inspection, paramedics discovered that both drivers had sustained moderate injuries in the collision.
Fortunately no serious injuries were reported on the scene.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Traffic was heavily affected in the area for some time.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
