Yesterday afternoon a person was left critically injured after a serious rollover collision on the R21 South at the Pomona Offramp in Kempton Park, East of Johannesburg.
Just after 1pm EMER-G-MED paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the driver had been ejected from a vehicle after it rolled multiple times – allegedly after having lost control at a high-speed.
The patient sustained multiple critical injuries, including a serious head injury. Paramedics worked effortlessly to stabilise the driver – performing multiple life-saving Advanced Life Support interventions.
The patient was successfully stabilised and placed on a ventilator being being transported to a nearby provincial hospital for further management.
EMPD were on-scene to investigate the cause of the collision.
