A robber has been wounded after he was shot by a motorist on Bloed street and corner Eskia Mphahlele drive in Pretoria.
Reports from the scene indicate that it was a smash and grab attempt.
The wounded man was allegedly trying to rob a motorist during peak hour traffic.
The motorist allegedly shot the man while he was attempting to rob him.
Netcare911 paramedics arrived on scene and managed to stabilise the wounded robber.
The man was escorted to a nearby hospital under heavy police guard.
