Eight people were left injured after a house fire broke out in Pellissier in Bloemfontein earlier today. The house had 12 occupants inside when the fire broke out.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that the fire department had already extinguished the fire. They also found that two people had sustained critical injuries and six others sustained minor injuries.
The injuries ranged from minor smoke inhalation to serious burn wounds.
ER24 treated and transported the two critically injured patients to Pelonomi Hospital for further treatment. The remaining patients were treated and transported to hospital by other services on scene.
The cause of the incident is unknown, local authorities were on scene of further investigation.
