Two people are in a critical condition after a shooting on Florida street and corner Kretzschmar street in Westbury, Johannesburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that a twenty-nine-year-old woman and a man believed to be in his forties were shot by unknown gunmen in the driveway of their home.
The exact detail to the cause of the shooting will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
According to reports the woman sustained only one gunshot wound while the man sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Netcare911 paramedics worked alongside another emergency service on scene to stabilise the critically wounded pair on scene before transporting them to various hospitals in Johannesburg for further medical care.
