Two men were injured this morning after a shooting took place on Ton Jones Road under the highway in Benoni.
ER24 paramedics were called to the scene by local authorities and arrived shortly before 11h00.
On inspection, paramedics found two men lying next to one of the light motor vehicles. One man had sustained a gunshot wound to the neck while the second man had sustained two gunshot wounds to his chest.
ER24 paramedics immediately began treatment and provided the patients with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, both patients were transported to Thembisa Hospital under Police supervision.
The details surrounding the incident are not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
