Taxi and truck collide injuring four children, Vanderbijlpark

Four children, aged 11, were injured this afternoon when a taxi t-boned a truck on Delfos Boulevard in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 paramedics responded to the scene after receiving reports of multiple patients on the scene.

Upon arrival, paramedics found 22 children seated on the nearby sidewalk.

On assessment, it was found that only four children, three girls and one boy, had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were found on the scene.

Paramedics treated the patients and transported them to Sebokeng Hospital for further treatment.

It is understood that the children were being transported to their homes when the collision occurred.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
