A three-year-old boy sadly died after he was knocked over by a car on the Kwapata Main Road, in Edendale KZN, this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the child lying on the side of the road.
Upon assessment of the child it was found that he sustained multiple severe injuries. Sadly there was nothing that could be done for him and he was declared dead.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown. Paramedics were informed that the child was in the company of family members when the incident occurred.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
