One person was critically injured and another sustained minor injuries in a collision between two cars on the N1 in Garsfontein, Pretoria.
ER24 paramedics, Fire and Rescue and other services attended to the incident.
Two cars were found on the road.
A female passenger was trapped in one of the vehicles.
She was in a critical condition and had to be extricated.
She was treated and is being transported to hospital for further medical care.
The driver (male) of the vehicle was found to have sustained minor injuries. Both the man and woman are believed to be in their 50’s.
The occupants of the other vehicle were uninjured.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
