One man has been killed and another critically injured this evening after an apparent shooting at a shop on Main Reef Road in Randfontein, Gauteng.
ER24 paramedics, along with another private service, arrived on the scene and were greeted by a heavy Police presence.
Paramedics were lead into the shop were they found two men lying on the ground a short distance apart from each other.
On assessment, paramedics found that one of the men had succumbed to his fatal gunshot wound. Unfortunetaly, nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead on scene.
The second man was also found with a gunshot wound to his head, but he was in a critical condition.
Paramedics treated the man and immediately initiated advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the patient was transported to Laratong Hospital for urgent treatment.
The cause of the shooting is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
