Western Cape Detectives attached to Bellville are soon expected to make breakthrough into an investigation involving the export of vehicles by using fraudulent import and export documents
Yesterday a search warrant was obtained and executed at about 14:00 at a storage facility in Carlisle Road, Paarden Island, where four brand new 2016 Land Rover Defenders were seized.
Fraudulent export documents were issued for the vehicles in Johannesburg while the vehicles were in storage in Cape Town.
The vehicles, valued at R3 million, were destined for Malaysia and the United Kingdom.
The investigation is yet to be concluded.
