Seven people were injured this morning after a taxi, a car and a bicycle collided on the corner of Zuurfontein and Bergrivier Roads in Kempton Park – on Johannesburg’s east rand.
Shortly after 07:30 EMER-G-MED’s M04 and A09 arrived on the scene, to find the taxi lying on it’s side having rolled.
It’s believed that the taxi skipped a red traffic light and T-boned a car. The taxi then collided with a cyclist on the side of the road and overturned.
The seven patients all sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported by EMER-G-MED and other services to various nearby facilities for further treatment.
EMPD were on the scene to investigate the exact events leading up to the collision.
