A man, believed to be in his 30s, was killed last night after a head-on collision between a bakkie and light motor vehicle on Voortrekker Road in Kensington, Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 21h00 and found that a bike and light motor vehicle sat in the middle of the road. The biker, a male in his 30s, was found lying some distance away from his bike.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that the man showed no signs of life and had already succumbed to his multiple fatal injuries. Nothing more could be done for the patient and he was declared dead on the scene.
The occupants of the light motor vehicle, a man and woman, were assessed and found to have escaped injury.
The cause of the incident is being by local authorities.
