At around 05h00 this morning Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a shooting incident in the Westville area of Durban. Reports from the scene indicate that a thirty-six-year-old man went into the yard when he sustained a gunshot wound from an unknown person. Exact details to the incident will form part of the South African Police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the ground with life –threatening injuries. Medics worked tirelessly for about thirty-five minutes doing advanced life support resuscitation. Tragically, the man was declared dead at the scene due to the extensive injury that he sustained.
