Twelve people were injured when two taxis collided with each other on Jakes Gerwel Drive in Cape Town last night.
Late last night paramedics from ER24, Metro Ambulance and Rescue Services arrived on the scene where they found three people still trapped inside of the taxi. Metro Rescue and the local fire department had to use the jaws of life to free the three trapped victims.
Eight people were found with minor injuries while four others sustained moderate to serious injuries.
It is understood that one of the taxis collided into the back of another. The exact cause is still unknown.
Local authorities attended the scene.
