A middle-aged man is in a serious condition after he was stabbed multiple times on Deep Vale road in Marburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that the man was allegedly being robbed at the time of the incident.
Netcare911 paramedics were called to assist paramedics from another emergency service on scene.
The man was stabilised and transported to a nearby hospital by Netcare911 paramedics for further medical care.
This incident happened last night at about 22h00.
Police are investigating the matter.
