At 11h31 on Thursday morning Netcare 911 received a call from Marshal Security for a pedestrian crash in Tweed Road Greenwood Park. Reports from the scene indicate that the elderly female was trying to cross the roadway when she was hit by a VW Polo .
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the sixty-five-year-old female to have sustained serious injuries. The Netcare 911 Emergency Care practitioners stabilised the injured female at the scene before she was transported to a specialised hospital in Durban for the care that she required.
