A domestic worker was arrested on Wednesday evening after her employer contacted Marshall Security’s Emergency Contact Centre stating that she had stolen his cell phone upon leaving work.
The cell phone was tracked to be in the Glen Anil area and Armed Reaction officers descended on the scene. The female was found walking down the road, having changed her clothing and placed a wig on her head in an attempt to disguise herself.
She was found in possession of the stolen cell phone as well as various other items belonging to the homeowner, including jewellery and a number of other cell phones, clothing items and various electronic accessories.
She was arrested on site and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
