An intelligence-led operation conducted by members of the Provincial Tracking Team, Crime Intelligence and Polokwane TRT yielded success when three members of an alleged crime syndicate were arrested for the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and possession of explosives at Attock outside Burgersfort over the past weekend.
The arrested suspects are aged between 31 and 46 years old and during the arrest, the following were recovered:
1x 9mm norinco with one magazine and 6 rounds of ammunition.
1 x normal round Explosive.
-8 x electrical detonators.
7 x dura fuse explosives.
13× explosive gel cartridges.
The suspects will appear before Burgersfort Magistrate Court soon and Police investigations.
