Seven people were injured this afternoon following an apparent robbery at a business on Young road in Westmead, Pinetown.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene and were lead into the building and to the patients.
Upon assessment, paramedics found that seven patients had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported five of the seven to a nearby hospital. The two patients declined further treatment and transportation.
It is understood that an unknown number of gunmen entered the premises. Fortunately, no shots were fired, but the patients had been apparently assaulted.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
