Durban housebreaking in the suburb of Effingham

Marshall Security’s Emergency Contact Center received a call shortly after 12h30 for a housebreaking which had occurred on Belmont Road in the suburb of Effingham, north of Durban.

Armed reaction officers were immediately dispatched and on further investigation, it was ascertained that an unknown number of suspects forced entry into the home by breaking open the front door. The elderly female home owner stated that various electronic equipment including a flat screen television as well as some items of jewelry appeared to have been stolen.

The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
