The body of a woman was found in the Dusi, in Alexandra Park Pietermaritzburg, earlier today.
ER24 paramedics were contacted by members of the public. Upon arrival at the scene, ER24 paramedics found a body floating on the water.
SAPS Search and Rescue was contacted. Search and Rescue divers, with the assistance of ER24 crews, retrieved the body from the water.
There was nothing that could be done for the woman believed to be about 50 years of age.
The body was handed over to the SAPS.
