Four people were injured this evening following a collision between a taxi and light motor vehicle collided on Kingsway Road in Amanzimtoti in KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the two wrecked vehicles in the middle of the road.
On closer inspection, paramedics found one woman lying trapped inside the light motor vehicle. Three other women, including a 5-year-old girl, were also found on the scene.
Rescue services had to use the jaws-of-life equipment to free the woman from the light motor vehicle.
Once freed, paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Prince Mysheni Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
