Western Cape: The swift response of members of the Flying Squad, resulted in the apprehension of three suspects early yesterday in Nyanga on a charge of robbery. The suspects were virtually caught red-handed still inspecting their loot when they were arrested.
A female motorist was stationary at a robot in Borchard’s Quarry when the suspects smashed her vehicle window and made off with her handbag. Members of Flying Squad, who were doing routine patrols in the area, arrested the suspect within minutes. The suspects, aged 19, 22 and 25, are due to make a court appearance in Athlone once they have been charged.
