A man has been arrested following a house robbery in Sunningdale Drive in Durban North on Thursday morning.
Marshall Security was alerted to the incident via a neighbourhood WhatsApp group message stating that a homeowner had just been attacked in his home by a male suspect, who had sprayed him with pepper spray.
Armed reaction officers were immediately dispatched and a description of the suspect was circulated to all available vehicles in the area.
A positive identification was made on a suspect on the M4 Ruth First Highway, and a foot chase ensued with the suspect running across the highway. Back up vehicles arrived and the suspect was apprehended. The man was arrested and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
