Marshall Security North Coast arrested a man for theft in Ballito on Tuesday afternoon.
The Marshall Security Emergency Contact centre received a call shortly before 16:00, from a member of the public who noticed two suspicious looking males, walking down Ballito Drive, carrying a large sack.
Armed Reaction officers were immediately dispatched and on their arrival, the men dropped the bag and attempted to flee. A foot chase ensued, resulting in the arrest of one of the men.
The assistance of the SAPS was sought and on further investigation, it was ascertained that the men were in possession of various items of hardware, believed to have been stolen from a home in the Ballito area.
The suspect was arrested on site and taken into the custody
