Second annual Rhapsody by the River event promises fun for the whole family

Umdoni Christian Academy (UCA) is hosting their second annual community event called Rhapsody by the River and everyone is invited. The music event promises fun for the whole family and will be taking place at the TC Robertson Nature Reserve in Scottburgh on 5 August from 10h00 to 17h00.

“The focus of this event is for the community to get together in an idyllic setting. A concert in the park theme, embracing our social heritage with live music, and fabulous food is set to entertain young and old from morning to late afternoon. This year, we are partnering with a variety of Community Organizations to bring a South African potjiekos competition to life, while everyone enjoys the music, breathtaking beauty of the nature reserve and relaxing atmosphere,” commented UCA’s Principal Jenny Page.

Members of the public are encouraged to enter the Potjiekos Cooking Competition, the entry fee is R200 entry per team with a maximum of 6 people per team; judging will be at 13h00 and plates will be sold at R50 each.

A children’s entertainment area with activities and games will allow parents some time to relax with friends while their children are being entertained.

Tickets will be sold at the gate at a cost of R40 per adult R20 for children and pensioners.
