Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to Estuary Drive in Missionlands – Verulam after receiving a call from a member of public requesting assistance after a hardware employee threatened to shoot him.
Upon arrival it was established that an argument ensued between both parties regarding an outstanding amount of money allegedly owed to the hardware employee. The hardware employee then proceeded to his vehicle and drew a replica firearm (pitcured) and threatened to shoot the building contractor before stealing several wooden beams which he claimed was going to be sold to settle the outstanding balance.
Reaction Officers seized the weapon from the hardware employee and handed him over to authorities for further investigation.
