Malvern man shot twice and left seriously injured

A man, believed to be in his 30s, was left seriously injured this afternoon following a shooting incident on Jules Street in Malvern.  ER24 paramedics were initially dispatched to the scene for a motor vehicle collision, arriving at 12h31.

On arrival, paramedics found the local authorities already in attendance. Two light motor vehicles were found parked in the middle of the road. Upon closer inspection, paramedics found a man, believed to be in his 30s, lying a short distance away on the pavement. The man was assessed by paramedics and found to have sustained gunshot wounds to his buttocks.

Paramedics treated the man and thereafter transported him to Charlotte Maxeke Hospital for further treatment.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
