At approximately 15:31 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to a bottle store on Gridham Place in Westham – Phoenix after receiving reports of an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, it was established that four armed suspects entered the business through a back door and held up staff and customers. The suspects robbed the cashier of an undisclosed amount of cash and all the customers of their cellphones. The armed men also stole alcohol before fleeing the premises in a white VW Golf with an unknown registration.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspects however no arrests were made.
