Operation Back2Basics was intensified during the weekend to combat crime in the Mount Ayliff Cluster in line with the crime prevention approach to policing in the Eastern Cape. Various arrests were made and drugs, as well as unlicensed firearms, were seized.
The Provincial Commissioner, Lt General Ntshinga applauded the members for their swift response in arresting of these suspects.
“I welcome the fact that these illegal firearms circulating in our streets were confiscated by our members. It is a clear indication that you are committed to your strategies, she said”.
