KwaZulu-Natal: At approximately 20H17 Saturday evening Netcare 911 responded to reports of a patient that had fallen from a height in Lincoln Mead, Pietermaritzburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 4-year-old boy had fallen off a first-floor balcony landing on his head.
He was treated on scene by a Netcare 911 Advanced Life Support Paramedic for head and spinal injuries.
The boy was immobilised to prevent movement and transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further assessment and care.
