Six-Year-Old Run Over in Trenance Park, KZN

A six (6) year old boy suffered moderate injuries after he was run over while returning home from school a short while ago.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to Inanda Road at the Trenance Park entrance in Verulam after receiving a call from pedestrians requesting assistance for the injured child. Upon arrival, it was established that the grade 1 one learner was walking home with his older brother.

As they approached the main road the Trenance Park Primary School pupil ignored warnings from a scholar patrol and attempted to run across the road when he was run over by an Opel Corsa car. The child was thrown up in the air before he landed infront of the vehicle.

He was treated for his injuries on scene before being transported to Osindisweni Hospital.
