Ford Names New Managing Director for South Africa and SSA

Ford Motor Company today announced that Neale Hill, 50, will take on the role of Managing Director of South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa, effective 1 July.

Dr. Casper Kruger, a seasoned automotive professional with over 20 years’ experience in the market, has decided to leave and take on a new personal endeavor. “We thank Casper for his commitment to Ford and wish him the very best in his new role,” said Mark Ovenden, President MEA.

Hill, currently Director of Marketing, Sales & Service, has tremendous experience both in his home country of South Africa but also internationally.   Over his 25-year plus career at Ford, Hill has worked across various functions including sales, marketing and at general management level.  Hill will report to Mark Ovenden, President, Ford Middle East & Africa.

In his new role, Hill will be responsible for growth in the company operations across the region as Ford South Africa continues to grow its customer-centric product offerings, improving operational fitness and further develop its customer base.

“I’m honoured to be given this wonderful opportunity to lead the Ford business in the Sub Saharan Africa region. I’m privileged to work with an experienced leadership team to continue the drive for customer centricity throughout the organization,” said Hill.

“Neale has a wealth of experience in the market and we are thrilled and fortunate to be able to draw on his talent and experience in this role.  Neale’s customer focus combined with his deep brand and product experience in South Africa and across Sub Sahara will be an incredible asset as we move the business forward,” said Mark Ovenden, President, Ford Middle East & Africa.
