Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to Phoenix Highway in Phoenix – KZN after receiving a call from a motorist reporting an accident last night.
Upon arrival it was established that a Chana bakkie was travelling in the direction of the Phoenix Plaza from Eastbury when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The bakkie then knocked into several concrete pillars on the side of the road and ran over two pedestrians before it crashed into a light pole.
The injured were treated on scene before being transported to hospital by a private ambulance service.
