Marcus Ericsson to take on the role of Third Driver and Brand Ambassador for the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team from 2019

The Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team is delighted to announce that Marcus Ericsson will continue to be part of the team taking on the role of Third Driver and Brand Ambassador.

Over the past four World Championship seasons, Marcus Ericsson has become an important part of the Sauber family. His experience, positive attitude, and the highly professional level of his work have contributed greatly to the remarkable progress made by the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team. Marcus Ericsson will continue to collaborate closely with the team with full dedication.

Marcus Ericsson (car number 9):

“I’m thankful for the years spent in Formula One as a racing driver. I am proud to have represented Sauber over the past four years and this season also such an iconic brand as Alfa Romeo. I would have loved to continue racing but to have a driver as Kimi Räikkönen on board is a great opportunity for the team. I will continue to give my contribution to the team as I have always done with dedication and support.”
