Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to a compound situated at a brick manufacturing company after the body of the victim was found lying on the premises.
Upon arrival the man was found lying on a wooden pallet bleeding excessively from multiple stab wounds to his body. Due to the extent of his injuries he died at the scene. A large kitchen knife which was covered in blood was recovered on the premises (picture 2).
According to witnesses the two men were seen consuming alcohol together during the course of the day. They then got into an argument when the suspect grabbed the kitchen knife and began stabbing the victim. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspect however no arrests were made.
