The 34 year old suspect was apprehended by members of Reaction Unit South Africa after he had jumped over the front gate of a property and was in the process of stealing tools from a bakkie on Rosemary Drive in Brindhaven – Verulam.
Reaction Officers were called out to the scene by the homeowner who scared off the suspect. Upon arrival he provided Officers with a clothing description and the direction in which the suspect had fled. RUSA Members searched the area and apprehended him fleeing on Amaan Circle in Sanna Township.
The homeowner did not want to pursue a criminal case and the suspect was released.
