A man, believed to be 19-years-old, was killed yesterday afternoon when he was knocked over by a light motor vehicle on the N3 Highway in Germiston.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 16h00 to find the body of a man lying in the middle lane of the highway. Another service was found on scene assessing the patient.
On further assessment, paramedics discovered that the man had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life.
Paramedics immediately began treatment and initiated CPR. Unfortunately, after some time, no vital signs returned, and he was declared dead.
It is understood that the man’s vehicle had broken down on the side of the road. As the man exit the vehicle, he was knocked over by a light motor vehicle.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
