Two suspects have been arrested in the Western Cape in two seperate incidents for the possession of drugs.

Kraaifontein members arrested a 16-year-old youth for dealing in drugs today in Essenhout, Street, Belmont Park.

The members were attending to a complaint received regarding a person dealing in drugs. After questioning the residents, the SAPS members were led to one of the bedrooms in the residence where a plastic bag containing four smaller bags, containing 384 mandrax tablets worth a street value of more than R11 000-00 were discovered.

The suspect was arrested and once he is charged, he will appear in the Kuils River Magistrates’ court once he has been charged.

Provincial Detectives attached to Organized Crime Investigations (Narcotics), assisted by members from K9 Unit, followed up on information they received regarding a drug courier on a passenger bus traveling from Gauteng to Cape Town earlier today. The male suspect was searched at Bellville and 500grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of R200 000 was found in his possession. The 29-year-old suspect was arrested and he is expected to appear in the Bellville magistrates’ court on Monday, 25 March 2019.
