Joint crime driven operation led to the arrest of suspects with unlicensed firearms in Khayelitsha and Worcester

Members of the Anti-Gang Unit collaborated on a joint crime intelligence operation and apprehended two suspects at separate houses in Site B in Khayelitsha, and one suspect Zwethambe Street in Worcester today at about 11:00 with unlicensed firearms.

All three suspects aged 24, 30 and 35 years were found in possession of unlicensed firearms with ammunition and in possession illegal substances.

The three suspects are expected to make a court appearance at Khayelitsha and Worcester Magistrates courts for a possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and dealing in drugs.
