Police probe murder in Kamesh

UITENHAGE CLUSTER – The South African Police Service in Kamesh are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder, following the shooting in which a 21-year-old male was fatally wounded today, 9 July 2019 at about 12:55 on the corners of Acacia Road and Kingfisher Drive, Rosedale. A second male victim (32) was rushed to a local hospital with a gunshot wound in his upper leg.

It is alleged that the two males were talking to a third male, who was seated in his vehicle. It is further alleged that two suspects approached them and started shooting at them. Both males, who were standing next to the vehicle, were wounded. The 21-year-old male was shot in the upper body and passed away on the scene and the other male was wounded in his upper leg. The motive for the murder and attempted murder is not known at this stage and is being investigated. The name of the victim will be released after formal identification was completed.
