Police seek missing teenager

PORT ELIZABETH – The Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit in Port Elizabeth are urgently trying to trace a 16-year-old girl from Booysens Park in Bethelsdorp.

According to police information, Anita Karelse was last seen on 29 June 2019, and was only reported missing on Thursday, 11 July 2019. According to her parents, this is not the first time that she went missing and they suspected that she may return home. During 2018, her parents reported her missing and after her friends informed her that the South African Police Service was looking for her she returned home. It is suspected that Karelse is in the Zwide vicinity. She was wearing a black cap, white Uzzi top, maroon skirt and black pump tekkies.

Anyone who may have seen her or may know of her whereabouts is asked to contact D/Sgt Kelibone Mokhadla on 071 475 2327 or 041 401 3000 or Crime Stop 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
