Keimoes Crime Prevention members arrest three for contravening National Credit Act

NORTHEN CAPE – Members of the Keimoes Crime Prevention unit were activated last night, 31 July 2019 at approximately 20:50, after the station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Barney Visagie received information from a concerned community member regarding tuck-shop owners who are in possession of SASSA cards and Identity documents of customers who are allegedly indebted to them.

Sergeant Skalk Oberholster, Constable Louis Kotzee and Constable Vuyo Nxusani immediately visited the three identified tuck-shops and conducted searches at the premises.

They discovered a total of 178 packets containing SASSA cards and Identity documents of community members believed to be owing to the tuck-shops. Three suspects were arrested for contravening the National Credit Act and will be appearing soon in the Keimoes Magistrates court.
