In another unrelated incident in Emndeni, Soweto, today, police stopped a suspicious vehicle with four men during Operation O Kae Molao. On searching them, two unlicensed firearms were seized. It is suspected that they were on their way to commit a crime. Their vehicle, a Toyota Avanza, will be impounded. At this stage, they will be charged with possession of unlicensed firearms while police are continuing to profile them.

“As we are intensifying our crime prevention operations, O Kae Molao, criminals will not hide because space is getting smaller and smaller and we are urging members of the community to isolate criminals,” says the Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Elias Mawela.

He also pleaded to the members not to take too long to repair or reporting broken down vehicles. He further appealed to those utilizing state vehicles to treat them as their own and not abuse them or neglect them when broken down.
