Johannesburg, South Africa. 26 September 2019. Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) SOC Ltd has made a Grade 10 learner’s dream of attending aviation’s largest Innovation Fair, a reality. The event, held under the auspices of  International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), took place on 22 — 23 September 2019 in Montreal, Canada.

Keamogetswe Agnes Seemela, who attends Hoërskool Noordheuwel in Krugersdorp, Gauteng, is one of a group students from U-Dream Global, who built an aircraft and flew it from Cape Town to Cairo. ATNS sponsored her entire trip, including flight tickets and accommodation.

ICAO requested member States (including South Africa) to encourage established and aspiring innovators to attend the Innovation Fair. The Fair allowed Keamogetswe and her fellow learner to display their model aircraft and video to showcase South Africa’s young talent and skills.
