Drug dealers nabbed in Calvinia

Raiding of two houses at Calvinia in the Namakwa District yielded positive results this morning.

The raiding is part of trilateral cross border operation that is unfolding in the area.

In the first house police arrested three male suspects aged 22, 26 and 37 for dealing in drugs. The suspects were found in possession of 401 mandrax tablets, 2,628 kg of dagga and 89 grams of crystal meth estimated at R65 000-00. Cash amount of R6 320-00 was confiscated.

In the second house, one male suspect aged 34 was also arrested for dealing in drugs. He was found in possession of dagga weighing 0,356kg and cash amount of R22 000-00.

The arrested suspects will appear before the Calvinia Magistrates court soon. Police investigation continues.

The Station Commander of Calvinia, Lt Col Vincent Van Wyk has applauded the good work rendered by members.
