Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) and the Ethekwini Fire Department are currently standing off at a house on fire on Candis Land in Ottawa – Verulam
At approximately 15:21 today (Friday) Reaction Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving multiple calls reporting the upper level of a residence on fire. On arrival Reaction Officers evacuated residents and removed pets from the property. The fire was contained to one bedroom and has been extinguished by the Fire Department.
Circumstances as to what started the fire has not been established at this stage.
